This is a clip from The strange comedy show, Smell of Reeves and Mortimer. Written and staring Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer.
Its odd to think that this sketch is over 11 years old.
In this clip you can see their parody of The Antiques Roadshow featuring the you can't give booze to a baby skit.
Also you can see Whisky & Brandy Bolland as they look around Prince's wardrobe which is almost too wee! I really don't know how these guys keep a straight face when they do some of this stuff.
Whats all those monkeys about?

Dr. Richard Wellington Ph.D is a fraud. Don't tell that to the people whose works of art he appraises at ridiculous prices. It's Antique Roadshow gone horribly wrong. Not Antique RoadShow But Hoax |
a chance to see a great and extreamly well acted (he said tongue in cheek) episode of this wonderful series ... (with missed timed cues and shaky scenery!) staring Julie Walters as the fantastic Mrs Overall and Celia Imrie as Ms Babs.
also Susie Blake the shining example of what TV continuity announcers were like way back in the 80s on ITV. All comments welcome - let me know if you enjoyed this and i will post more episodes ! Acorn Antiques Episode |

Here it is... the spoof documentary on "Acorn Antiques" (based on a real-life short film behind-the-scenes at EastEnders), from "Victoria Wood As Seen On TV", 1987. We go behind the scenes to find the cast rehearsing and recording, as well as delving into the big room where... 'innovative' storylines are thrown about, with producer Marion Clunes (Maggie Steed) at the helm - a clever parody of EastEnders' then producer Julia Smith.
Enjoy! The Making Of Acorn Antiques |
Miss Berta makes it out of intensive care to find daddy was shot in Dakar and is now a millionairess. Mrs O fluffs her lines (surly not!). It all happens here folks!!! Acorn Antiques 2 |

Antiques Roadshow:
When the Antiques Roadshow comes to Dibley, the villagers take along items to be valued. David is told that his 'expensive' paintings are all fakes, while Jim thinks he is on Ready Steady Cook. However, when Alice goes to get her prized Papa Smurf model that her father gave her valued, Geraldine is forced to make the valuer, Hilary Kay, lie about its true worth.

The show stopping/absolutely brilliant/hilarious number "Have You Met Miss Babs?", performed by Celia Imrie in the 2005 musical "Acorn Antiques:The Musical!". I love it how she seems to be enjoying herself so much!
(No copyright infringement intended; if there is an issue, I will take it down, but it is here in a low quality version, and is intented to entertain (even to promote) and should not affect the selling/quality of the product.) Have You Met Miss Babs? - Acor |
