Keeping in line with the last 3 vids I uploaded, here is the actual performance of the "Othello Rap" that we, "The Lights Of Broadway" did. I figured that if I was going to have the rehearsal spoof uploaded that I should have up the "Real Deal".
I would like to remind everyone that this show is, "The Complete Works Of William Shakespeare". Written by Jess Borgeson, Daniel Singer and Adam Long. The rights belong to The Reduced Shakespeare Company, which we did obtain legally, and was performed by Jeff Kresge, Keith Stam and Jason Williams. Oh, please visit their web site...

Is "Othello: The Moor of Venice" a real tragedy?
For those who are familiar with this particular Shakespearean play, there is no doubt the drama between Othello, Desdemona, Iago, Emilia, Roderigo, and Cassio (as well as several minor characters like Lodovico, Montano, the Duke, Gratiano, Bianca, etc.)is sad in nature, but is it a tragedy in the classical sense?
My Shakespeare class has already covered "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (Class), "The Merchant of Venice" (Group 1), "Much Ado About Nothing" (Solo), "As You Like It" (Class), "Hamlet" (Class), "Romeo and Juliet" (Group 2), and "Richard II". We will soon be starting "Henry IV", parts 1 and 2. Katie, Deanna, LeAnn, and yours truly had to do a panel on "Othello". Sadly, the camera ran out of time before we could finish, but excerpts from our four parts are presented here.
I was in charge of the first piece, the summary, which we decided to make interesting by performing with sock puppets. Othello: Summary by Shakespear |

~Story~
PROFESSIONAL scene reenactment of the play Othello by William Shakespeare. Iago continues his plan to persuade Othello to believe his lies that Cassio has been sleeping with Desdemona. Othello falls into the mental trap and goes insane.
*yo~ its Patrick of PC productions, finally a vid that isnt related to Japanese class haha, in our senior AP English class we had to get into groups and reenact a scene from Othello in any style we wanted, (we didnt even have to memorize the lines, youll see lol...). this was Chris and Jaron's video, i made one too with 4 other people but didnt turn out into anything special (-_-), wouldve partnered with chris, but jaron and him went to china. well anyways if you have read or scene Othello, u shoud get a kick out of this reenactment, turned out pretty well considering the fact that we just made up the jokes as we were filming, so i dont get sued or anything, ill list my background music sources: Cowboy Bebop OST, Tactical Roar OST, Kage Kara Mamoru OST, and the Final Approach OST Othello goes crazy, w/ TURTLES |

A bunch of kids made a hypothetical situation for their english project, where Obama is compared to the modern day Othello.
As you can see, the edting was very rushed so forgive us.
And we are having a white man play Obama-- the white Obama. There are also made up names and real names involved such as Paris Hilton.
It gets better as u move along. The quality too. Obama compared to Othello Pt 1 |
