When I set my Absolutely Fan website up back in 2000 I never imagined that eight years later every episode from all four series of the show would get released on DVD. I would like to thank all the thousands of people that have contacted me and signed my online petition to get it released on DVD over the last few years. It's because of you, the fans that Absolutely Productions have realised that this comedy sketch show was much loved and should not be forgotten. I would also like to thank Gordon and Pete for keeping in touch with me. For the unitiated amongst you, Absolutely was a comedy sketch show that was aired on UK Television station Channel 4 between 1989-1993. It ran for four seasons with a total of 28 episodes altogether, that's a total of 15 Hours and 52 minutes of material! Absolutely was written by and starred Moray Hunter, Morwenna Banks, Jack Docherty, Peter Baikie, Gordon Kennedy & John Sparkes. The show consisted of a series of sketches, some of which were linked to each other. There were regular characters that appeared as well as one-offs. Some of their best known characters that appeared in the show were The Little Girl, Stoneybridge councilors, The Nice Family, Frank Hovis on the Toilet, Don & George, Calum Gilhooley, DIY Denzil & Mac McGlashan. Absolutely Everything, the DVD Box set was released on 5th May 2008. It contains every episode of this classic show on no less than 8 DVD's !! It also includes numerous extras like never before seen footage of early work by the team, never before heard cast commentaries on selected episodes and never before requested interviews with the cast, producers and even some famous fans.
