Life Support is an Australian satire show which makes fun of the lifestyle program and can often confuse the unsuspecting viewer into thinking it is a real lifestyle program. That is, until the dark humour starts creeping in. The gorgeous Rachael Coopes plays Sigourney, a stereotypical modern woman who gives tips on how to keep up appearances, keep a social status and how to find the 'right man'. Often she contradicts herself and is often in bad relationships - yet she still remains smiling. Some of the best Australian comedy (and humour) is often like this and can leave a lot to interpretation. Very witty, clever, well-thought and of course Australian! I loved this series whilst I was living in Australia, but unfortunately missed out on the rest of the series when I had to move back to Canada.

Life Support is a comedy show in Australia that makes a parody out of life style programs. The comedy is rather dry and dark, it's still a laugh and very clever. This segment is Penny's POV played by Alison Barnes who acts as Penny. Penny is a street wise 19 year old girl who gives the viewers tips on how to double-cross the system, steal from 'the man' and take advantage on society's loopholes. Her humour is the darkest and most cyncial of all and her segment had sent shivers down my spine. This is from series two of Life Support and features Alison Barnes as Penny. Series one had the very spunky Abbie Cornish playing the original Penny.

Dr. Rudy (played by South African Simon Van Der Stap) has his own segment called 'Mens Health'. In this segment Dr. Rudy gives men tips on how to make things easier when living with women, making money, relationships, etc. His dark humour could be considered sexist if one did not see the humour. Dr. Rudy is a jaded GP who lives a high life and he gives demonstrations on how to get by.
