Comedian Chris Porter, familiar to fans of "Last Comic Standing," is a native of Kansas City who now resides in Los Angeles. Porter got his start in comedy when a friend tried it first and suggested he try it too. "I fell in love with it the moment I stepped on stage," says Porter, whose unique observations on life - often told from a Midwest perspective - help define his "rock 'n' roll" style of comedy. His credits include appearances on "The Bob & Tom Show" and Comedy Central's "Live Tour" and "Live at Gotham." He also points out that "they kind of made fun of me on 'The Soup.'" He also has contributed to funnyordie.com. Chris Porter in The Bob Rivers |

Epps grew up between Gary, Indiana, where he spent summers with his grandparents, and in Crenshaw, where he shared a house with eight siblings and his mother. He was a troublemaking class clown who admitted to spending four months in a juvenile center after a prank involving super glue. Epps entered a stand-up comedy contest at an Indiana Club called Seville's. His success on stage gave him the courage to strike out on his own and move to Atlanta where he began making a name for himself at the Comedy Act Theater. The owner of the club suggested Epps move to New York to build his act, and within a week, Epps caught a Greyhound to Manhattan. He was 21 years old. While breaking into the city's conventional comedy clubs proved difficult, the Def Comedy Jam phenomenon stimulated an underground black comedy scene in which Epps excelled.
Epps has been married to Michelle McCain since 2006, but he is currently being sued by a Georgia woman regarding paternity over her child, born in December 2007.[1]
Career
By 1995, Mike Epps ended up on the Def Comedy Jam tour and starred in two of HBO's Def Comedy Jam broadcasts. With a stop along the way to appear in actor Vin Diesel's directorial debut Strays (1996), Mike Epps was well on his way to becoming one of the bigger names in stand-up.
He appeared in an episode of The Sopranos in 1999, the same year the comedian was cast as Ice Cube's co-star (effectively, Chris Tucker's replacement) in the Friday sequel Next Friday. Epps headed for Los Angeles, where he invited Ice Cube to catch his stand-up set. Impressed, the rapper-actor-producer asked Epps to try out for the part of Day-Day, which he landed after weeks of auditions.
Opening at Number One on the box-office charts, Next Friday was a breakthrough for the new actor, who was already familiar to much of the audience from his stand-up work. Epps played the ineffectual Day-Day, a smoked-out character stalked by his obsessive ex-girlfriend (Tamala Jones) and her brutish younger sister Baby D (Lady of Rage). Later that year, he had a cameo in DJ Pooh's 3 Strikes and supported Jamie Foxx in the action comedy Bait.
Mike Epps began 2001 with a voice role in the family comedy Dr. Dolittle 2 and finished the year with a featured role as comical pimp Baby Powder in How High, starring hip-hop artists Redman and Method Man. Epps played the bumbling thief to Ice Cube's bounty hunter in the action comedy All About The Benjamins in 2001 and again re-teamed with the rapper-actor-filmmaker in the continuing Friday saga's latest entry Friday After Next (2002).
Other notable movie roles include The Fighting Temptations with Cuba Gooding, Jr. and R&B/Pop diva Beyoncé Knowles, Guess Who (the 2005 remake of Guess Who's Coming to Dinner with Bernie Mac), Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004), the 2005 remake of The Honeymooners with Cedric the Entertainer, and Roll Bounce (playing one of two garbage men along with Charlie Murphy). Mike Epps recently had a small part in the song A Bay Bay by Hurricane Chris doing the Rick James move.

Up Wake, an original show created by Natasha Tsakos, is a humane and tragic comedy following Zero, a toon character, throughout his musical day of dream and wake. A bare stage and an actor. The rest is purely suggested and perfectly synchronized to sound effects, CGI projected on all four surfaces of the stage, and a rich, exhilarating soundtrack. Bringing a high definition quality to the stage, Natasha Tsakos integrates these hyper-real esthetics of technology and performance into a magical journey of the human soul.Up Wake had a successful sold out run in November/December 2006 at the Carnival Center for the Performing Arts. A clip from the Hinge & Bracket sitcom 'Dear Ladies'. A sublime and much missed double act.
"A weekly sitcom that afforded viewers 'a glimpse behind the scenes of village life in Stackton Tressel', where lived the delightful Doctor and Dame. This was very much a genteel confection on the surface but, with the usual undercurrent of satire and suggested vulgarity, it turned out to be anything but this."

As a work of parody, this falls under fair use. This work is not associated with or sanctioned by Comedy Central, Comedy Partners, or Viacom International. I hope Comedy Central and Mr. Redstone can respect a work of humor and that perhaps childrens DO learn. PARODY : The Daily Show with a |
In this latest Boyle collaboration for the annual Twenty-Four Hour Animation Contest (THAC 6), two men wait in line for a new game. Will they get there alive and triumph, or will the game be sold out?
Notes: I animated the Bed, Bath and Beyond scene, as well as voiced three characters and suggested changes to the script. Captain Bulldog wrote the script, and he and TwoBit animated the rest of the film. Waiting In Line |

PRISON CRUCIFICTION SCENE THE REAL MCCOY (BBC, 1991-96) was the first real showcase for young black comedy on primetime British television. The show also opened the door for multi-cultural comedy in general while by introducing British audiences to Meera Syal and Kulvinder Ghir, it paved the way for their success in Goodness Gracious Me (BBC, 1998-2000). Playing with notions of race in Britain at a time when the only truly visible black British comedian was Lenny Henry, the show cleared a path for a new generation of black comedians to break into the mainstream. Often confronting stereotypical views of black men and women, the show's writers flipped perceptions on their head to create their punchlines. One sketch showed a black British paratrooper running around the streets of Tottenham lauding the army's equal opportunities policy: "In here we've all got just as much opportunity for getting shot." This is not to say that The Real McCoy was an overtly political or heavy-handed show. In fact one of the show's highlights came from its brief musical pastiches, mocking popstars like MC Hammer, who finds himself repeatedly reminded by his backing singers that he 'can't touch this' every time he tries to grab a young lady's derrière. Where much urban programming finds itself shunted around the schedules, and often broadcast late at night, The Real McCoy was given a regular primetime slot. This suggested the BBC was seeing multi-cultural programming as integral to its schedule. The fact that the BBC's flagship ethnic comedy show mixed Black and Asian comedians, however, suggested that there remained doubts that mainstream audiences were yet ready for a half-hour show dedicated purely to one ethnicity. Such anxieties were dispelled following the success of Goodness Gracious Me. PRISON CRUCIFICTION SCENE THE |

p.s - windows media player on Vista crashes more than a drunk granny at the wheel of a Robin Reliant, who has her hands stapled to her wrinkly old boobs.
p.p.s - It was just suggested to me to inform the world of Youtube that all the sketches here are improvised, based around concepts devised by the team. One day we'll script something. One day... in the future. Rhinocerous - Improvised Sketc |

Highlights: ASU's version of Saturday Night Special, this sketch comedy group hosted this show in their 5th season of weekly live shows in the MU. This episode features behind the scenes footage and featuring the sketch " Dating in the 90's."
Kasrvnotebook: Not realizing that ads for Comedy 101 referred to a show, some students requested ASU for the line number to register for the "course". During a brainstorm session in early 1987, the group unanimously approved the name Farce Side, suggested by member Jeff Smallidge. MUAB then created a fully budgeted Comedy Committee to fund and oversee the troupe and other comedy projects.
ASU built the current home of the Farce Side Comedy Hour, Union Stage, in 1991. The show continued to grow in popularity until weekly audiences of 200-250 were common, and the "Best Of" shows would tally crowds of 400 or more.
By fall of 1993, the show would often drop the standup segment and perform an entire hour of sketch comedy. The group began using the title "Farce Side Comedy Hour". Occasionally some improvisation was scheduled into the show, which was originally substituted for a missing standup performer. The show moved to an all-sketch format in the 1994 fall semester, when it also spun off the Barren Mind improvisational comedy troupe. Barren Mind received and still holds its own performance slot on Thursdays. Members commonly belong to both casts.
Due to ASU student programming changes, Farce Side and Barren Mind lost their funding at the end of the spring 2000 semester. Since then, the troupes have carried on as sponsored student clubs, retaining the privilege of playing at Union Stage.
A number of events throughout the history of the troupes has threatened ASU's tolerance of them. A handful of incidents involving profanity and nudity, including the 2004 "Sock Incident" (a male performer wearing nothing but a tube sock), have resulted in corrective actions and even suspensions of shows. The Sock Incident was explicitly responsible for a posted warning regarding the shows' content.
Today, the Farce Side Comedy Hour continues to regularly draw weekly audiences of over 200 fans.
