Vesuvius is an ice cream man, who is constantly bullied by his teenage customers, but when life is turned upside down after being dumped by his girlfriend he decides to overcome his self esteem issues and become a boxer. With his best friend Afghan, a witless renegade fairground worker, by his side he embarks upon a voyage of discovery that pushes him to the edge of sanity and back again. WOOOOOOP This is a set I did in Cambridge on August 28, 2008 (hosted by Matt Williamson) - The crowd was old, there were crazy ladies in the audience, I lost one shoe, and a guy got stabbed in the name of my hilarious jokes (even when I specifically asked the stabber not to - jerk.) Ich hinter meiner Batterie, rechts der Gitarrist, links der Bassist und vor mir die johlende Menge - von der Braut, die mir ihren verschwitzten Büstenhalter zugeschossen hat, träum' ich noch heute. Und von dem geilen Gig in dem abgefahrenen Club natürlich auch. Wer ich bin? Robert Fishman, aber alle nennen mich "Fish". Ich bin Schlagzeuger von Vesuvius. Richtig, die Jungs, die so richtig durchgestartet sind: Mega-Alben, Mega-Weiber, Mega-Tourneen, Mega-Cash... Warum Sie mich nicht kennen? Weil ich nicht mehr hinter den Drums sitze, vielleicht... Weil ich nicht mehr dabei bin... Vor zwanzig Jahren hat mich unser Manager, dieser... GEFEUERT! Weil ein Verwandter vom fetten Labelboss ans Schlagzeug, sprich, die Groupies wollte. Na, dem hab' ich die Meinung geblasen... und dann doch zugesagt. Man muss ja auch mal ein Herz für Loser haben. Na ja, ums kurz zu machen, das alte Rock'n'Roll-Fieber ist wieder in mir erwacht. Curtis, unser Gitarrist, hat ja ganz gute Tunes drauf, und unsere Bassistin Amelia, der Sauertopf, eine gute Slowhand... und einen recht knackigen Hintern. Natürlich nichts im Vergleich zum Arsch von Curtis' Ma - ich sage nur Rock'n'Roll und Roll und Roll... Apropos Arsch. Ich lauf' mir da die Hacken wund, putz' Türklinken, um einen Auftritt zu organisieren. Nix geht. Ich telefoniere, bitte, bettle... Da landet doch mein nackter Arsch im Internet.
