Jeden Sonntag um 20 Uhr heißt es "Vorhang auf und Bühne frei" im Kölner Wohnzimmertheater. Der Clou ist: Auftreten darf jeder. Hier wagen junge Talente ihre ersten Schritte ins Rampenlicht. Gerne nutzen aber auch bereits TV-bekannte Comedians die Gelegenheit, neue Nummern vor Publikum auszuprobieren. Cindy aus Marzahn trat hier kurz vor ihrem großen Durchbruch auf, Johann König und Ausbilder Schmidt sind hier groß geworden. Onkel Fisch, Fatih Cevikkollu, Carolin Kebekus, Tobias Mann und viele andere Comedians und Kabarettisten probierten und probieren hier ihre Gags aus. Und immer wieder gibt es neue Talente aus allen Kleinkunst-Bereichen zu entdecken. Jeder Auftritt ist beschränkt auf 8 Minuten, so dass auf keinen Fall Langeweile aufkommt. Moderiert werden die Shows von langjährig erfahrenen Bühnenprofis wie den Offene-Bühne-Gründern Heinz Gröning ("Der unglaubliche Heinz") und Telefonspaßmacher Edno Bommel, von Keirut Wenzel (langjähriger Partner von Kaya Yanar bei "Was guckst du?"), Comedyluder Ramona Schukraft, Kabarettist Tillmann Courth oder Komiker Robbi Pawlik. Heinz Gröning und Edno Bommel haben die Show 1995 ins Leben gerufen, um den Bühnennachwuchs zu fördern. Und auch wenn es inzwischen viele Veranstaltungen für Nachwuchstalente gibt: Die "Offene Bühne Show" ist und bleibt das Original!

Along with a van full of quirky, loveable characters, Candy begins a quest to find Dodo, return a certain peach sweater, and remind the future Ms. President that we are all connected in the strangest of ways. Like a modern-day Mr. Smith Goes to Washington¸ Dodo for President is funny, touching, and relevant. More importantly, it will inject some much-needed humanity into our political season! Directed by Executive Director Leah S. Abrams, and starring Custom Made regulars Perry Aliado (Woody Allen's God and Death) , Megan Briggs (Price), AJ Davenport (Two Rooms), Mary McGloin (The Old Neighborhood), Richard Wenzel (The Exception and the Rule) and introducing Alex Alexander as Dodo.
