Tonight we fly
Over the houses, the streets and the trees -
Over the dogs down below;
They'll bark at our shadows
As we float by on the breeze.
Tonight we fly
Over the chimney tops, skylights and slates -
Looking into all your lives
And wondering why
Happiness is so hard to find.
Over the doctor, over the soldier,
Over the farmer, over the poacher,
Over the preacher, over the gambler,
Over the teacher, over the writer,
Over the lawyer, over the dancer,
Over the voyeur,
Over the builder and the destroyer,
Over the hills and far away!
Tonight we fly
Over the mountains, the beach and the sea
Over the friends that we've known,
And those that we now know
And those whom we've yet to meet.
And when we die
Oh, will we be that disappointed or sad?
If heaven doesn't exist,
What will we have missed?
This life is the best we've ever had! The Divine Comedy - Tonight we |

topical acts and comperes on the circuit. Edgy and
provocative, with an easy-going manner and
self-depreciating style, Ian is at great ease

Comedy Store's critically acclaimed 'Cutting Edge'
team.
He has performed all over the world including Comedy
Festivals in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, South
Africa, Holland, France, Ireland and Germany (not many
Jewish comedians have performed there in the last
fifty years). He has also performed to 55,000 people
in 40 days on tour with Ardal O'Hanlon and Alan
Davies. He has headlined gigs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi
in the Middle East, performed on the final
transatlantic crossing of The QE2, entertained troops

York. He has headlined at the prestigious Yuk-Yuk
clubs in Canada, compered the main theatre at the Cape
Town Comedy Festival 2003 and performed his one-man
show in South Africa's Camps Bay Theatre in 2004. More
recently he became the first British stand-up to
perform in Moscow.
1996 saw him venture northwards to The Edinburgh
Festival with his first solo show. Since then, he's
performed three more solo shows, the last one in 2006
with a brand new show, Embrace The Chaos which ran at
The Underbelly and was very well received including a
five star review in the Herald
"...like a cross between Tony Hancock and Frankie
Howerd. Stone is probably better than we deserve.
"Ultimately, it is the sheer quantity of funny
material that really impresses". The List
"A rare treat" The Herald

Patti Vasquez is a Chicago native who treads through life with the spectre of mixed Irish and Latino parentage hanging constantly over her. She takes a wry look at work, family, and society. She appeared as a Fresh Mug at the Chicago Comedy Festival in '98, and appeared in '99 in the Sophomore showcase. Her TV appearances include NBC's Friday Night, and ABC News-Chicago's special Nuevo Millenium.
Few comedians working today have the charm and charisma of Patti Vasquez. Call it humor with a heart. She has been working since 1994 and has appeared throughout the United States and across Canada. She has worked at many of the major comedy clubs, including Zanies in Chicago, the Improv in Los Angeles and Caroline's in New York. She has shared the stage with Bill Maher, Jackie Mason, Richard Lewis, Lewis Black, Brian Regan, Dom Irrera and many others.
Her unique perspective on politics, family and relationships can only be described as refreshing. Her stories about growing up in an Irish-Mexican-American family cause laughter at the unique but all too familiar situations. And who hasn't worked in an unsatisfying job or experienced those humiliating moments at the doctor's office. Patti Vasquez brings these everyday events to life in each performance.
Patti Vasquez, who is an outspoken advocate for breast cancer research, has created a clever and tongue-in-cheek campaign to get men more involved and interested in breast cancer research and events. She hilariously explains why she wears a pink ribbon during her performance and shares her ideas and slogans for the new movement during her show.
Never at a loss for words, Patti Vasquez relates intimate moments from her life and relationships. She involves the audience as she shares her stories and opinions. Many fans come to see her just to catch up on what's going on in her life. Patti Vasquez on Stage "The Or |
