Although always thought of as a Monty Python sketch, 'The Four Yorkshiremen' was originally presented in the early ITV (Rediffusion)series 'At Last the 1948 Show' with John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Tim Brooke-Taylor and Marty Feldman. Enjoy both versions. Four Yorkshiremen - Two versio |

I don't generally do this, but competing for who is worse off seems an unfortunate human trait. After all, pain hurts, however large or small. A conversation reminded me of this awesome sketch. This is the original, though it's better known as a Monty Python sketch. This is 'At Last the 1948 Show' with John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Tim Brooke-Taylor and Marty Feldman. Exclusive look at the deleted clips that didn't quite make it into the final cut. Here, you can see the actors talk about 'how beautiful deaf women used to be', getting a 'fish slap' and even about clothes that were way too short..!
The tag line for the final film is 'how hard was growing up deaf?' We see four old deaf men try to tell the worst story about their childhood - and there's ten pounds on the table for the 'winner!'
